Thomas University an independent, not-for-profit, institution of higher education with undergraduate and graduate programs in Thomasville, Georgia seeks applicants for a full-time Coordinator of Internships & Partnerships, beginning June 1, 2022. This position is responsible for coordinating early field and clinical experiences for Division of Education students and works in collaboration with the Division Chair and the Coordinator of B.S. and M.A.T. Initial Teaching Programs to develop mutually beneficial partnerships with PK-12 schools and community agencies.
TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of a master’s degree (Ed.S, Ed.D, or Ph.D. preferred).
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with educational supervision and evaluation, teaching/learning processes, and instructional strategies.
More than three years of successful PK-12 school experience.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit good judgment in making decisions concurrent with University policy
Ability to build relationships and work cooperatively with all constituents

Leo Alvarez came to Thomas University to earn a bachelor’s degree and play on the Night Hawks Men’s Soccer Team. At first he wasn’t sure about his major or career direction. During his sophomore year, a family tragedy turned out to be a life-changing event that gave Leo the direction he needed.
Consisting of guitarist Silviu Ciulei, bassist David Cobb and percussionist Ramin Yazdanpanah, Maharaja Flamenco Trio blends traditional Spanish rhythms with jazz, classical and world music. The three will share their talents with guests at the Thomas County Public Library on Nov. 19 at 12 p.m. as part of the Fridays at Noon series presented by Arts for the Community at Thomas University.
During the next installment of Thomas University’s popular Science Café, guests will join archaeologist Mike Wisenbaker to explore America’s longest underwater cave. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, in the Flowers Foods Executive Classroom inside Smith-Bonvillian Hall on TU’s Forbes Campus.

Duo Beaux Arts, the internationally renowned husband-and-wife concert piano duo of Catherine Lan and Tao Lin, will be the featured performers at the first Fridays at Noon event of the 2021-2022 season for Arts for the Community at Thomas University on Sept. 24. The concert will feature all French music for both solo and duo piano with four hands on one piano. The performance will begin at 12 p.m. in the chapel of Thomasville First United Methodist Church.
Members of the Phi Tau Chapter of the Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing at Thomas University conducted a community service project to collect items for the Halcyon Home for Battered Women and Children. Items collected included baby formula and diapers, personal care items, household items, and school supplies.
