ACTU’s January Jazz Fest to feature TCC Jazz Band

Arts for the Community at Thomas University (ACTU) will celebrate jazz music with its annual January Jazz performance at 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, with a feature performance of the Tallahassee Community College at the Thomasville Center for the Arts at 600 E. Washington St.

Directed by Lisa M. Foltz. TCC’s Jazz Band will perform a varied concert of Big Band, jazz, blues, pop, and light rock music. The jazz band is comprised of a core of community members and TCC students as an activity and an outlet to learn and perform a wide variety of stage band music from traditional Big Band to more modern arrangements at a variety of venues and festivals throughout the region.
