Senior Administrative Assistant – Education
DESCRIPTION:
Thomas University, an independent, not-for-profit, institution of higher education in Thomasville, Georgia with undergraduate and graduate programs invites applicants for the position of Intake and Certification Officer and Senior Administrative Assistant for the Division of Education. Reporting to the Chair of the Division of Education, this individual provides administrative management and coordination for the office and oversees the admissions and certification process for all programs in the Division of Education. This individual is responsible for performing a variety of high-level administrative duties and managing daily operations for the Chair. Campus-based is preferable for this position, but consideration will be given to remote work for an outstanding candidate.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Associate’s degree or equivalent education and/or experience.
· A minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
· Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Drive, and Outlook.
· Extensive use of Excel spreadsheets, being able to calculate basic statistics (e.g., mean)
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to work cooperatively with others.
· Excellent oral and written English language skills
· Excellent planning and organizational skills to be able to multitask.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree
· A minimum of five (5) years of related experience
· Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Outlook, Google Drive, and Zoom.
· Extensive use of Excel spreadsheets (e.g., being able to create pivot tables).
· Knowledge of the Thomas University Student Services system, Jenzabar.
· Knowledge of GaPSC databases (e.g., TPMS, Expresslane).
