TU recognizes graduating Education majors with online event
Post Published On:Thomas University’s Division of Education honored its students graduating with bachelor’s degrees during an online event held Thursday, May 7, using Zoom.
Dr. Susan Lynn, Chair of the Division, recognized and congratulated the graduates. She also thanked the students’ family members, faculty members, mentor teachers and others who supported the graduates throughout their educational experience.
Dr. John Meis, Vice President for Academic Affairs, spoke to the graduates and attendees about the qualities of good educators, which he said each one of the graduates possesses. Dr. Meis congratulated the seniors on their successes as well as future impact as educators.
The event included a video presentation that honored the graduates with remarks from the students’ mentor teachers as well as TU faculty members.

- Ayzia Bogan of Whigham, Georgia, Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education
- Charles (Chase) Hinson of Odum, Georgia, Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education
- William Figueroa of Thomasville, Georgia, Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education
- Elizabeth Treat of Thomasville, Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education
- Trenton (Trent) Viche of Valdosta, Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education
- Hannah Wilde of Whigham, Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education
- Stephanie Williams of Tallahassee, Florida, Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education
