Next TU Science Café to discuss ‘The Effects of Trauma’ in Early Childhood

The next installment in Thomas University’s Science Café series will feature Florida State University’s Dr. Mimi Graham presenting “The Effects of Trauma in Early Childhood” on Tuesday, Feb. 25. 

Since 1993 Dr. Graham has worked as the Director of the FSU Center for Prevention and Early Intervention Policy providing leadership to promote public policy from pregnancy to age 3. She authored the book “Finding the Gold Within: Overcoming Adversity to Create a Happy Life.” In addition, she is a co-founder of the Florida Association for Infant Mental Health and a member of the Florida Supreme Court Committee on Children. She was invited to teach as a visiting professor at the China University Political Science & Law.

The Science Café will be held in the Flowers Foods Executive Classroom inside Smith-Bonvillian Hall on TU’s Forbes Campus. A reception with the speaker will be held from 6 to 6:30 p.m. The presentation will start at 6:30 p.m. For more information, contact April Penton at apenton@thomasu.edu.
