Men Football Defensive Coordinator

Thomas University, a member of the NAIA Sun Conference, located in Thomasville, Georgia, is seeking applicants for the position of Football Defensive Coordinator for its Military Transition Football Team that is specifically designed for members of the U.S. military who are transitioning into and out of national service. 

Job Description:

The Defensive Coordinator will report to the Head Football Coach, and will be responsible for organization, administration, coaching a position group, and practice planning (skill development and strategies), fundraising, student-athlete recruitment, and retention for the Men’s Football Team, and additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will recruit, develop, and execute the team’s defensive game plan. This includes crafting the overall defensive strategies, creating a playbook, and making in-game adjustments to exploit the offensive weaknesses. This coach will be responsible for coaching the Linebacker, and Safety’s, and may be involved in personnel decisions.

Education Required:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience:

3 – 4 years’ experience within a Professional, Collegiate, or High School football program.

Compensation:

Salary is commensurate with experience based on the Department scale.
