Learning Support Instructor English and Math
DESCRIPTION:
Thomas University, an independent, not-for-profit, institution of higher education with undergraduate and graduate programs in Thomasville, Georgia, seeks applicants for Learning Support Instructors in English and Math. Positions are available on an asneeded basis for on-campus instruction.
Learning Support instructors provide one-on-one and study group support to students, helping them develop academic skills and subject area knowledge. Instructors support work closely with the Director of Learning Support and/or content area faculty to support students’ academic development.
TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree, with earned credits in the subject area or relevant practical experience.
• Previous teaching experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit good judgment in making decisions concurrent with College policy.
• Ability to work cooperatively with all constituents.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
