Graduate Students Receive High Honors At Commencement

Thomas University honored four outstanding students during the graduate commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 6 at the Forbes Campus. 

The students were recognized for demonstrating academic excellence throughout their time at TU. 

They were Jacquelyn Duran of Bonaire, Georgia; Laura Mican Rodon of Bogota, Columbia; Shammah Cannonier of Decatur, Georgia and Domanek Banks of Jacksonville, Florida.

Division of Education 

Jacquelyn Duran 

A “life-long learner,” Jacquelyn graduates with a 4.0 GPA and a Master of Education degree in Middle Grades Language and a Teacher Leadership Endorsement.  

Division of Business 

Laura Mican Rodon 

Known as an enthusiastic and energetic student, Laura graduates with a Master of Business Administration degree. 

Division of Health and Sciences 

Shammah Cannonier 

Shammah walked across the stage on Saturday after graduating at the conclusion of the Fall 2022 semester with a Master of Science in Nursing-Nurse Educator concentration-degree. 

Domanek Banks  

As a veteran and a mother of three children, Domanek graduates with a Master of Science in counseling degree.
