Student Activities
TU’s Student Activities Office holds events on campus for students to enjoy. A variety of clubs, organizations and activities are available to students. TU also is home to varsity and junior varsity athletics for both men and women.
We encourage all students to become involved in campus life. This is a great way to meet new people and to gain leadership skills. Participating in new activities provides opportunities for exploration of new skills and interests.
Our Campus Activity Board (CAB) is comprised of students who are interested in planning and organizing on-campus activities throughout the year.
Some of the events include:
- Welcome Week
- Thanksgiving Dinner
- Food Drive
- Bowling Night
- Spring Week
- Graduate Week
Students have also participated in activities such as Survivor, paint night, book club, art exhibits, and corn hole tournaments.
Of course, students are also encouraged to attend athletic events and cheer on the Night Hawks to victory! TU has 13 men’s and women’s varsity and junior varsity teams. Thomas University is a division one NAIA institution participating in the Sun Conference.
Be sure to follow Student Activities on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn to find out more about what’s happening on campus.
Clubs and Organizations
TU also has a growing number of clubs and organizations in which students can participate. These include:
- The International Student Association
- The S.T.E.A.M. Club
- The Psychology Club
- Educators Rising
- Goal Line Ministries
- Pickleball Club
Also, students can create clubs and organizations, too! All it takes is a faculty/staff sponsor and approval from the Dean’s Office. Students interested in forming a club or having questions about a current organization can contact the Dean of Student’s Office
Academic Honor Societies
TU also has a number of academic honor societies representing a wide variety of academic disciplines. Academic honor societies recognize outstanding performance by students in the areas they represent. Many of these organizations engage in philanthropic activity throughout the campus and the community. Membership in honor societies depends on each organization’s specific requirements. Contact a faculty member in your major program for more information about the Academic Honor Society that best fits you.
