Use this self-assessment to gauge if you are ready for online learning.

The following four characteristics are common for successful online students:

  • Basic technical and academic skills
  • Ability to study independently
  • Good organizational skills
  • Willing to devote the same amount of time and effort as a face-to-face course

Directions: The following items measure your ability to perform different tasks. There are no
right or wrong answers, so your first reaction is usually best. Please do not omit
any items. To get a good idea of if you are ready for online learning and your chances for success, rate
how well each item below describes you.
