TU named #17 in list of best online counseling degrees
Post Published On:Intelligent.com recently named Thomas University to its list of best online counseling degrees. TU’s Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling ranked number 17 on Intelligent.com’s list of the top 60 programs. Intelligent.com compared a total of 321 programs at 167 different colleges and universities.
“Being recognized as one of the top online counseling programs is a huge honor for Thomas University,” said Dr. Cristina Jones, Program Director for the M.S. Degree in Clinical Mental Health and Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling. “TU actually has one of the few dually accredited CACREP programs in both Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling. By offering our program totally online, we can reach students all over the country.”
To create the list, Intelligent.com ranked programs at nonprofit institutions that were accredited and fully online. Then each program’s strength, online resources, cost, student engagement and the return on investment for students were analyzed. Intelligent.com also designated TU as its most transfer-friendly institution.
TU’s completely online Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health and Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling Degree is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). Students completing the degree are eligible to take the national Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) exam and become licensed as a professional counselor in the state in which they live.
