Thomas University Inducts New Members in Sigma Beta Delta

The Thomas University chapter of Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society formally welcomed 13 students during its induction ceremony online on Thursday, April 25.   

The students met the Sigma Beta Delta requirements, which requires inductees to be Business, Management and Administration undergraduate and graduate students who are in the top 20 percent of their class. 

The new members pledged to live by the meaning of the Greek letters: Sigma, Beta, Delta.   

Sigma is the initial letter of the Greek word SOFIA (Sa-‘phe-ä), which means wisdom. Beta is the initial letter of the Greek word BEBAIOS (Be-‘bi-os), which signifies honor. Delta is the initial letter of the Greek word DIWKW (Di-‘o-ko), which signifies the pursuit of meaningful aspirations.
