School pride to shine at Homecoming
Post Published On:Thomas University will be celebrating its Homecoming on November 4 with a slew of festivities that will culminate with TU’s military transition football team taking on Sun Conference rival, Florida Memorial University.
Geeks vs Guardians
Alumni, students, faculty, staff, and fans of Night Hawks Nation will kick off Homecoming with the annual Geeks vs. Guardians 5K Fun Run at 8 a.m. on the Forbes Campus. The race will include TU students, military affiliates, and members of the community.
Tailgating
Following the race, the TU Alumni Association will be hosting a tailgate party at 10:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Thomasville Center for the Arts. Alumni are encouraged to bring a chair as they reunite and showcase their Night Hawks pride by cheering on Thomas University. Lunch will be provided, courtesy of Barbarito’s. Those who have purchased a ticket for the tailgate party will receive an alumni t-shirt.
Talon’s House
Talon’s House will also open at 10:30 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Stadium, 701 E. Jackson Street. Children 12 and under can play games such as Corn Hole and Connect Four. There will be face painting and more! Children can also sign up for Talon’s Birthday Club to receive a surprise on their birthday from Talon.
Thomas University’s Student Rock Band will be performing a pre-game show,
Homecoming Football Game
Students from Thomas County Central High School JROTC will present the colors at the stadium, with kick off scheduled for noon.
Halftime will feature a performance from the Thomasville High School Marching Band.
