New Pep Band looks to take the field this Fall

Post Published On:

The sound of electrifying music will sweep through the student section this Fall as Thomas University introduce a new pep band.

The band, comprised of students, will make its debut on the sidelines of Night Hawks football games when the season begins in September.

Students will set the enthusiastic tone with their woodwind and brass instruments, including drums, horns, saxophones, clarinets, electric guitars, and piano keyboards. The pep band will orchestrate the enthusiastic school spirit of the crowd, while cheering on the Night Hawks on the field.

The pep band will also perform at basketball games and other sports events. Students can join the band and earn $3,000 in activity scholarships per year.

“The pep band is an opportunity for students who play music in high school to be able to continue to do music at the college level,” Karl Barton, professor of music,” said.
