Assistant Professor of Biology: Natural Resources and Conservation Management
Thomas University, an independent, not-for-profit, institution of higher education in Thomasville, Georgia with undergraduate and graduate programs invites applicants for the position of Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of our new Natural Resources and Conservation Management (NRCM) program housed in the Division of Health and Science. Rank is negotiable upon hire with prior teaching experience and rank. Reporting to the program director of science, the position is an academic, on campus appointment with the start date of August 12, 2022.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Earned doctorate degree in Natural Resources and Conservation Management, Ecology, or a closely related field.
- GIS certification or demonstrated experience.
- Demonstrated leadership coordinating academic program through curriculum development, program assessment, and recruitment.
- Expertise teaching online and developing/coordinating online programming.
- Ability to build relationships and work cooperatively with all constituents.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Successful experience working with diverse student populations.
- Demonstrated ability to form partnerships and connections with adjacent organizations and communities.
