Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society Grows with New Inductees

Thomas University’s Phi Kappa Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society held its Spring 2024 Virtual Induction Ceremony on Thursday, April 25. 

There were 14 inductees, including five undergraduate students and nine graduate students who are pursuing degrees or certificates in education.   

 To be initiated in TU’s Phi Kappa Chapter, students must have a 3.5 GPA or higher, satisfactory disposition ratings, and recommendations from the Education faculty.  

The 2024 Spring inductees are:   

Anna Beth Estabrooks from Sharpsburg, GA, Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education; Shekiera King from Donalsonville, GA, Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Mikayla Elise Morris from Nashville, GA. Bachelor’s Degree in Middle Grades Education (ELA and Science); Shaneka D. Reynolds from Valdosta, GA, Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education; LaQuana Thornton from Moultrie, GA, Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education; Tomeka Moore Allen from Cordele, GA, Master’s Degree in Education (Middle Grades ELA); Marisa Baert from Marietta, GA, Master’s Degree in Teacher Leadership (Ed.S.); Alex B. Hallford from Suwanee, GA, Master’s of Arts in Teaching (Pedagogy); Dr. Jessica Rios-Jones from Covington, GA, Tier 1 Leadership Certification; BraSheia Shepherd-Winslow from Griffin, GA, Master’s Degree in Arts in Teaching (Pedagogy); Alexus Brianna Sowell from Lithonia, GA, Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction; Fiona Spence from Covington, GA, Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction; Taryn Mariel Steen from Austell, GA, Master’s of Arts in Teaching (Pedagogy) and Dr. Deatrice A.
