Level Up Career Stimulus Program

Thomas University’s Level Up Career Stimulus Program is specifically designed for individuals impacted by the COVID-19 economic downturn. Those who have lost employment, been furloughed or had their hours reduced are able to work toward earning their bachelor’s degree online, or may enroll in certification preparation training programs online.

The Level Up Career Stimulus Program offers the following benefits:

  • A 30% discount on tuition for undergraduate, online programs. Choose from a wide variety of majors including business, criminal justice, rehabilitation studies, psychology and more! This is specifically designed for individuals who provide documentation of having lost their employment, been furloughed or a reduction in work hours.
  • Most classes are eight weeks long and asynchronous, which means you don’t have a set meeting time. Plus, you can start your degree during the first or second eight-week session of the semester.
  • As always, students may apply up to 90 credits toward their bachelor’s degree.  Thomas University offers a variety of opportunities for adults to earn college credit including prior college, life experience, corporate training, and military service. TU also participates in testing options such as CLEP, AP and DSST.
    • Students pursuing their undergraduate degree are encouraged to apply for other state and federal financial aid programs.  They can do this at https://fafsa.gov  TU has a process for reviewing income adjustments due to the COVID-19 situation.
  • Students wishing to take online certification preparation training will receive a 20% discount.  Thomas University offers a variety of training programs including project management, cyber security, Microsoft, CompTIA and cloud computing.

The Level Up Career Stimulus Program will run from Summer 2020 through Spring 2021.   We would anticipate most individuals would be able to return to work by that time.  However, the timeline for the reduced tuition and training fees will be re-evaluated as the current situation unfolds.

Now is the time to prepare for the job market post-COVID. This unique program allows you the opportunity to add new skills and education to your resume, all from the convenience of your home!
