Head JV Baseball Coach/Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach

Overview:

The Head JV Baseball Coach/Assistant Varsity Coach will run all aspects of a college baseball program. They will work closely with the Head Varsity Baseball Coach and the Athletic Director to ensure a positive and healthy experience for the student-athletes in the Thomas University Baseball Program.

Reports To: Head Varsity Baseball Coach and Athletics Director

Responsibilities:

Recruitment of student-athletes for JV and Varsity programs

Schedule JV games

Manage budget for JV program

Travel arrangements for JV and Varsity programs

Monitor academic progress of student-athletes

Develop hitting and defensive skills in both JV and Varsity players

Extensive baseball field maintenance, weekends included

Coordination of Synergy cameras and data collection

Opposition scouting reports using Synergy footage

Additional administrative duties as assigned by the Head Varsity Coach

Aid the program in their cause of Mental Health awareness

Adhere to all rules and regulations of the NAIA

Apparel and equipment orders

Monitor PlayNAIA eligibility status for all JV and Varsity players

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of collegiate coaching

Ability and willingness to work flexible hours

Strong communication skills

Strong recruiting skills

Working knowledge of the game, especially hitting

Organizational skills

Bachelor’s Degree required
