Mrs. Faye Johnson 229-226-1621 ext. 164 fjohnson@thomasu.edu
|
Faye Johnson’s career at Thomas University began in 1987 as a secretary, student advisor, and adjunct professor. For the past 18 years, she has worked as a Federal TRIO director and a grant writer for multiple programs at TU, securing more than $11 million dollars for retention, academic and enrichment services, with the help of a very supportive staff. Within the next two years, one goal is to implement a minimum of two new student-centered grant programs at TU by 2009. The key for accomplishing this goal lies in the secret of success, which is "to be ready when the opportunity comes."
In addition to her career, she is a youth director at Mercy Seat Christian Church and a grant consultant. She is married to the GREATEST guy in the world, Elma, and they are the parents of three: Joey, an upcoming student at SWGTC, Quinetta, a senior at Savannah State University and an upcoming member of the Air Force, and Allen, a freshman at Savannah State. Current degrees completed include both a Bachelor and Masters from Valdosta State University. Additional post graduate courses were completed at Nova Southeastern University. |
