Secondary Grades Education

The secondary grades education program is designed to prepare professional educators to teach in public and private secondary schools. Pre-service teachers specialize in one of the following content areas: English, mathematics, science, or social studies.

The total number of credit hours to earn a B.S. in Secondary Education varies upon area of specialization. Upper division coursework will range between 60 and 63 semester hours. Pre-service teachers should plan to take four to five semesters in full time upper division course work.
