- IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING E-MAIL
- You must use your TU e-mail account. You are responsible for keeping your mailbox clear so that you will receive communication for this course and other important university matters. It is essential that you check your e-mail weekly; some courses will require you to check it daily. To keep your mailbox clear, you should delete mail you no longer need, empty your Sent Items, Deleted Items, and Junk E-mail weekly. Unread e-mail in your Inbox will be automatically purged after 30 days. If you receive an e-mail message with an attachment, save the attachment to a local source (such as a jump drive or your personal computer) and delete the e-mail.
- E-mail is a privilege granted to you by the university. Misuse of e-mail can result in termination of e-mail privileges and or disciplinary actions. Misuse includes, but is not limited to, sending chain letters, spam, viruses, harassing material, mass or commercial mailings, and participating in illegal activities. See TU's e-mail policy for complete details.
- E-mail is considered university property and therefore users should not assume that their e-mail is private or confidential.
- Please review the Computing and Internet Services Policy found in the Student Policy Manual for further information.
