OVERVIEW |
The Helping Outstanding Pupils Educationally (HOPE) scholarship is for Georgia residents who have a cumulative 3.0 GPA and attend an eligible Georgia college. At a private institution, students may receive $1,500 per semester if enrolled for 12 or more hours. If part-time (6-11 hours), the award amount is $750 per semester. This scholarship is renewable based upon a review of the student's academic record at predetermined intervals. Students whose cumulative GPA falls below 3.0 at the end of each review period may continue to attend college; however, they will not be eligible for the HOPE Scholarship although they will continue to receive the Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant (GTEG). Students who lose their HOPE scholarship will be given opportunities to have it renewed. All students attending Thomas University who receive the HOPE scholarship must apply for the Federal Pell Grant or, if applicable, submit an "Alternate Application" form. For more information, contact Angela Keys (ext. 158) at (229)-226-1621. |
