Online adjunct faculty must possess a doctorate in Rehabilitation Counseling or a related discipline; a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and licensure as a Professional Counselor with significant experience in Rehabilitation Counseling will also be considered. DIVISION OF EDUCATION

Faculty Position in Special Education

The Division of Education at Thomas University is seeking a full-time faculty member to teach exceptional learners content at the undergraduate and graduate level beginning fall semester 2009. The best candidates seek engaged teaching in a university environment that fosters students’ personal transformation and professional readiness; academic advising is part of the faculty assignment. Rank commensurate with experience.

Proven excellence in teaching is required. Candidates must be adept in the use of instructional/online technology. Teaching assignments include special education courses, field supervision, and other education and content courses as qualified.

The Division of Social Work at Thomas University is seeking a full-time faculty member to teach and advise students in our Bachelor of Social Work program beginning fall semester 2009. The best candidates seek engaged teaching in a BSW program that blends online and face-to-face teaching and learning with field practice.

Proven excellence in teaching is required. Candidates must be adept in the use of instructional/online technology. Teaching strengths in behavioral research, field supervision, and assessment are preferred. Familiarity with BSW curriculum, CSWE accreditation standards, and program assessment methods preferred.

The School of Professional Studies is seeking to expand its pool of qualified adjunct professors in Technology Education, Reading Education, Methods of Teaching Science, and Methods of Teaching Social Studies. Interested applicants must possess a minimum of the master's degree in the content area OR the master's degree with 18 semester hours in the content area. Preference will be given to applicants who hold doctorates from regionally accredited universities.
