The Bachelor of Science in Biology degree is designed to meet the needs of two different groups of students. Upon graduation, students can either enter the job market or continue their education at the graduate or professional level.
Students interested in careers in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, veterinary
medicine, or professional school should choose the General Biology option. Students in these
areas of pre-professional schooling will find they are exceptionally well
prepared to take any required professional qualifying exam such as the MCAT or
PCAT. Students interested in careers in field biology (including park rangers),
technical services, and environmental assessment should choose the Environmental Science option.
All students are advised to choose a career path as soon in their academic career as possible. Within each path, advisors will help each individual students to select the courses that are most appropriate to their career goals.
For more information, contact Dr. Bei Zhang or call 800-538-9784 ext. 144.
