Complete all sections of the Graduate Admission
Application. Your completed application and all supporting documents should
be received by the Admissions Office at least six weeks prior to the beginning of
the term you plan to enter.
General Admission Requirements
All candidates for Graduate Admission must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college/university. The university maintains a rolling admission policy until the class is full.
Candidates for Graduate Admission to Thomas University MUST submit to the Office of Admission each of the following:
- Graduate Admission Application
- A $50 non-refundable application fee
- A detailed résumé
- A personal statement of career and educational objectives (not to exceed two pages)
- Transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate schools attended, to be forwarded directly to the Office of Admission at Thomas University
- Three professional or academic references
- Additional program specific requirements
International candidates for graduate admission must report a minimum TOEFL score of 600.
Candidates should note that there are program-specific admission requirements for the university’s graduate programs.

Program Specific Admission Requirements for the MBA Program
- Special Note: In order to successfully complete required graduate courses, candidates for admission to the MBA program should have successfully completed each of the following undergraduate courses prior to enrollment OR be prepared to complete these courses at Thomas University. Students must earn a grade of C- or better in each course. To determine transfer course equivalency, contact the Office of Admission at Thomas University.
- BUS 200 Principles of Financial Accounting
- BUS 210 Principles of Macroeconomics
- BUS 320 Principles of Finance
- BUS 340 Management & Organizational Behavior
- BUS 360 Principles of Marketing
- STA 250 Statistics
- Candidates must have a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average (UGPA) of 2.80 on a 4.0 scale.
Program Specific Admission Requirements for the MSN Program
- The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing Program.
OR
- If the candidate is a graduate of an accredited diploma or Associate Degree Program in nursing who holds a BA or BS in a field other than nursing, he or she MUST meet the admission requirements and schedule an interview with the Nursing Division Admission Committee. Upon review and approval by the Nursing Division Admission Committee, the applicant may be admitted to the Master in Science nursing program. Additional courses in baccalaureate upper division nursing may be required.
AND
- Candidates must hold a current unencumbered RN license.
- Candidates must have a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
- Candidates must have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in a nursing major.
- Candidates must provide evidence of completion of an undergraduate statistics course. The course must have been completed within five years of date of enrollment to Thomas University.
Program Specific Admission Requirements for the MEd
- Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Candidates must hold a teaching certificate in at least one teaching field or must have passing scores on the Praxis I and II (or equivalents).
- Candidates must have a minimum undergraduate grade point average (UGPA) of 3.0 in all professional coursework.
Program Specific Admission Requirements for the MSCC or MSRC
- Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Candidates must have a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average (UGPA) of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
