Dr. Gary Bonvillian became the 10^th President of Thomas University on July 1, 2006, adding to a long career in college administration at other institutions of higher learning. Prior to his inauguration at TU, he served as Provost and Chief Academic Officer at Keuka College in New York; Dean of Business and Health Professions at Mesa State College in Colorado; and Associate Dean of Business at Florida Gulf Coast University and the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York.

Bonvillian’s professional expertise includes management, organizational behavior, leading change and strategy in higher education. He is a member of Rotary International and serves on the Archbold Medical Center Board of Trustees.

He holds a Ph.D. from the State University of New York – Buffalo, and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
