Rob Blankenship, Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach

Rob Blankenship joined the Thomas University Athletic Department in the Spring of 2013 as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Before coming to Thomas University, Rob served as an Intern Strength and Conditioning Coach at LSU (Louisiana State University) under the direction of Head Strength Coach Tommy Moffitt. During his time at LSU, Blankenship worked primarily with baseball, football, and volleyball.

Rob competes in body building competitions and is currently a member of the National Physique Committee (NPC) in the men’s physique and open middle weight divisions and has placed in the top 5 in all 6 shows.  Most recently, Blankenship placed 1st at the Texas State Championships Pro Show.

Blankenship received his B.A. in Exercise Science from Ottawa University in Ottawa, KS in 2008. While at Ottawa University Blankenship played baseball and was a 3 time Academic All-American. He was also an All-Conference selection in 2008.  After college, Blankenship played three seasons of professional baseball and served three seasons as a Collegiate Assistant Baseball Coach.
