Mike Harper is entering his third year as Head Women's Golf Coach. In only three yeaers Harper has guided the Lady Night Hawks into national prominence after winning the 2010 AII Tournament Championship and qualifying for the program's first ever NAIA National Championships last spring. TU will begin the 2010-11 season ranked in the Top 25 and is expected to make a run at back to back AII Tournament Championships, along with a second ever appearance at the NAIA National Championships.

Prior to his current position Mike had been involved in coaching youth sports for over 15 years and has brought with him a tremendous amount of energy and enthusiasm for the development of the program and each student athlete. Upon being hired in August 2008, Coach Harper brought in one of the Top PGA Professionals in the Southeast United States to assist him. Bill Connally, Director of Golf at Glen Arven Country Club, will serve as the lead golf instructor for the program. Harper will handle the daily administrative duties and recruiting for the program.

Coach Harper's philosophy is to give each student athlete a positive and fun experience that they will cherish forever. His goal is to continue the development of the program both on and off the field. With the goal of becoming a Nationally recognized program in the NAIA. More importantly, Mike wants his Lady Night Hawk golfers to join a family that is an extension of his own!

Harper resides in Thomasville, GA with his wife of 25 years Robin. They have two daughters, Laura (former member of the Women's Golf Team) and Leslie, who is married and has a son (Wyatt). He is the owner and Director of Harper Marketing in Thomasville, a nationwide life insurance company that is a division of the Senior Life Insurance Company.
