May 23, 2013
Jessica MacPhee ended her career at TU on day three of the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships this afternoon at the Wilderness Ridge Golf Club in Lincoln, NE.
The senior shot an 82 (+10) on day three and failed to make the cut for the final round of play. MacPhee finished in a tie for 46th overall with a 240 (82/76/82, +24) over the first 72 holes. The native of Langley, British Columbia - Canada finishes her stellar Lady Night Hawk with three national tournament appearances and will leave TU as the most prolific golfer in the programs history.
"I am very proud of what Jessica accomplished this year", said TU Head Women's Golf Coach Peter Ireland. "She struggled today, but that should not take away from everything she did this year and throughout her Thomas University career. There is no doubt in my mind that she will go down as one of the most decorated athletes in school history."
