Women's Golfer Jessica MacPhee Named All Sun Conference

Senior Women's Golfer Jessica MacPhee was honored for a great season being named to the All Sun Conference Team.
The native of Langley, British Columbia - Canada topped the Leader board at two tournaments during the year and collected six Top Ten finishes and four Top Five finishes. She most recently finished fifth at the TSC Championships and will next make her 3rd appearance (second consecutive) at the NAIA National Championships May 21-24 at the Wilderness Ridge Golf Club in Lincoln, NE.
MacPhee, along with junior Jessica Thunberg were selected to the Academic All Conference team.

Senior Jessica MacPhee led all TU women's golfers with a 5th place finish at the 2013 Sun Conference Championships played the last two days at the Oldfield Golf Club in Bluffton, SC.
MacPhee shot a 156 (80/76, +12) and finished two strokes out of third place overall. Freshman Jordan Patton finished tied for 15th with a 164 (+20) overall with a 84 in round one and 80 in round two. Junior Jessica Thunberg was the final Lady Night Hawk participating, shooting a 173 (90/83, +29) and finishing in a tie for 27th.
The TSC Championships wrapped up the season for the Lady Night Hawks. Macphee, after a Top Ten finish in 2012, will now prepare for her 3rd appearance (second consecutive) at the NAIA National Championships May 21-24 at the Wilderness Ridge Golf Club in Lincoln, NE.
Top Ten Finish for Patton

Freshman Jordan Patton finished in a tie for eighth at the 2013 Bash at the Beach in Daytona Beach, FL.
Patton shot a 158 (82/76, +14) over the two rounds of action. Senior Jessica MacPhee finished in a tie for 16th after shooting a 166 (80/86, +22), breaking a streak of four straight top 10 finishes. Junior Jessica Thunberg shot a 178 (94/84, +34), finishing tied for 43rd.
The three Lady Night Hawks will next compete in the Sun Conference Championships April 22-23 at the Oldfield Golf Club in Bluffton, SC.
Macphee Wins Individual Title at Eagle Invite

Senior women's golfer Jessica MacPhee took home the Individual Title at the 2013 Eagle Invitational played the last two days at the LPGA Golf Club in Daytona Beach, FL.
MacPhee shot a 144 (74/70), finishing two under over the two rounds of action. It was her fourth straight top ten finish and her second individual title in the last three tournaments. Freshman Jordan Patton had her third straight top ten finish after shooting a 152 (76/76, +6), good for a seventh place tie. With only three golfers competing, the Lady Night Hawks only participated in individual scoring.
The Lady Night Hawks will return to the greens on April 6th, when they open play at the Embry Riddle Bash at the Beach in Daytona Beach, FL.
Two Lady Night Hawk Golfers in Top 10 at Warner Invite

Two Lady Night Hawks golfers finished in the Top 10 at the Warner Invitational played the last two days at the Sun n Lake Golf Club in Sebring, FL.
Senior Jessica MacPhee shot a 167 (83/83/+23) over the 36 holes and finished sixth overall, nine strokes off the mark. It was the third top ten finish in a row for MacPhee. Freshman Jordan Patton had her second consecutive top ten finish after finishing tied for eighth with a 170 (89/81/+26). With only three golfers competing, the Lady Night Hawks only participated in individual scoring.
TU will next compete in the Embry Riddle Eagle Invitational March 18-19 at the LPGA Golf Club in Daytona Beach, FL.
MacPhee Tops the Field at Start 2 Finish Invite

Senior women's golfer Jessica MacPhee topped the field of 25 at the 9th Annual Start 2 Finish Invitational played February 17-18 at the Lake Wales Country Club.
MacPhee, shot a 158 (82/76, +14) to win the invite by two strokes. The native of Vancouver, British Columbia fired a low round score of 76 on day two to jump into first after finishing in second after the first 18 holes. Freshman Jordan Patton finished in fourth after firing a 166 (84/82, +22) and junior Jessica Thunberg finished in ninth with a 172 (86/86, +28). TU, with only three golfers, did not participate in team scoring.
Women's golf will be back in action at the Warner Invitational March 3-4.
TU Swing Coach Recognized

TU Men's and Women's Swing Coach Bill Connally was awarded the premier 2012 Georgia PGA Professional of the Year.
The award is one of the highest recognitions that Georgia PGA hands out on a yearly basis. It is based on the criteria of overall performance as a golf professional at his or her facility; level of service to his or her chapter, section, and the association; leadership ability; image and the ability to inspire fellow professionals; and promotion of golf. This achievement encompasses all aspects of being a golf professional — member service, teaching, image, leadership and overall performance.
Top Ten Finish for MacPhee, TU 7th

Senior Jessica MacPhee had a Top Ten finish and TU Women's Golf finished seventh on Tuesday at the Lee University Lady Flames Shootout played at the Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland, TN.
Macphee shot a 168 (81/87, +24) and finished in a tie for ninth overall in a field of over 50 golfers. She ended the shootout only three strokes away from a Top Five finish. Thomas shot a 735 (364/371, +159) over the two rounds.
Thomas will resume play in the Spring when they travel to Lake Wales, FL to participate in the Start 2 Finish Invitational hosted by Webber International University February 17-18 at the Lake Wales Country Club.
Lady Night Hawks Golf Complete Participation at Flagler Fall Slam

The Lady Night Hawks golf team completed their participation in the 10th Annual Flagler Fall Slam, played the last two days at the Marsh Creek Country Club in St. Augustine, FL.
In the two rounds of action Thomas shot a 692 (348/344, +116), finishing in 17th out 18 teams. Senior Jessica Macphee had the low score for TU after shooting a 163 (84/79, +19) and landing in a tie for 42nd overall. The Lady Night Hawks also had a solid performance from freshman Jordan Patton who finished in a tie for 60th after finishing the 36 holes with a 168 (82/86, +24).
TU will be back in action next Monday October 29th when they open play in the Lee University Lady Flames Shootout at the Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland, TN.
Women's Golf Seventh at Trevecca Nationwide Invitational

Women's golf finished seventh at the Trevecca Nationwide Invitational, played the last two days at the Old Hickory Country Club in Nashville, TN.
TU shot a 705 (356/349) as a team, two strokes out of sixth place. The Lady Night Hawks had two players finish in the Top Ten. Senior Jessica Macphee led the way with a Fourth place finish after firing a 159 (81/78), four strokes from the top of the board. Freshman Jordan Patton shot a 164 (80/84) over the two rounds of action, leaving her nine strokes off the mark and in a tie for seventh overall.
Thomas will next travel to St. Augustine, FL to participate in the Flagler Fall Slam. Play will begin on October 22nd at approximately 8AM EST.
