"We have a lot more we would like to do and want to do but this is a major step for our athletic programs, we are confident that the results will show on the field and in the classroom".

Head Softball Coach Bill Wilson enters his fifth season at the helm and expects to field his best team in that period. The Night Hawks return their top pitcher from 2012, junior Alexa Fair will once again be counted on to lead the way after going 8-9 with a 2.31 era. On the field TU will count on the steady performance of senior outfielder Kortney Campbell who led the team with 43 hits and batted .276 last season. Senior infielder Dionne Bishop is healthy after missing the majority of 2012 and will help bring experience to the infield. Thomas will welcome a trio of newcomers that will provide an immediate impact. Juniors Brittany Mayhill (outfielder), Taylor Nicolosi (infielder), and Amber Steadman (infielder) bring junior college experience and success to the lineup.

The Night Hawks continue their road trip with two games in Savannah, GA on Sunday. They will face Morgan State University at 10AM and Savannah State University at 2PM. TU opens TSC play on March 23rd.
