Thomas Women's Golf Finishes Fourth at A.I.I.

Thomas women's golf finished in fourth at the Association of Independent Institutions Conference Tournament played the last two days at the Victoria Country Club in Victoria, TX, failing to qualify for a second straight NAIA Women's Golf National Tournament.
TU Women's Golf 4th after Round One Action at A.I.I. Tournament

TU women's golf is fourth at the conclussion of Round One action at the Association of Independent Institutions Conference Tournament played this afternoon at the Victoria Country Club in Victoria, TX.
The ladies shot a 352 (+64), seven strokes out of third and thirty two out of first. Sophomore Jessica Macphee is tied for tenth overall after firing a 84 (43-41, +12) and is only six strokes behind the overall lead. Freshman Jaycee Eunice shot a 86 (44=42, +14) and is tied for twelfth.
Play concludes tomorrow in Victoria, TX with the final round teeing off at approximately 8:30AM CST.
Lady Night Hawks Golf Concludes Regular Season at Bash

The Lady Night Hawks golf team concluded their regular season this afternoon in the Bash at the Beach Invitational, played the last two days at the LPGA International in Daytona Beach, FL.
TU shot a 709 (368/341, +133) over the two rounds and completed the two round event in 13th out of 16 schools. Sophomore Jessica MacPhee led the Lady Night Hawks with a 159 (79/80, +15) and finished tied for 19th overall. Freshman Jaycee Eunice was the only other to finish among the top 50 in the field, shooting a 164 (83/81, +20). Eunice finished tied for 34th overall.
Women's golf will now prepare for the 2011 Association of Independent Institutions Conference Tournament to be played April 25-26 at the Victoria Country Club in Victoria, TX.
Macphee Loses in Playoff, Takes 2nd Overall

Sophomore Lady Night Hawks golfer Jessica Macpheee lost in the first playoff hole and finished second overall in a field of 52 at the SCAD Invitational played the last two days at the Wilmington Island Club in Savannah, GA.
Macphee shot a 149 (76/73, +7) over the two rounds. She finished round one action in a three way tie for the day one low score of 76. TU finished in seventh overall after shooting a 650 (331/319, +82). Freshman Jaycee Eunice barely missed a Top 20 finish after firing a 164 (87/77, +22), good for a three way tie for 21st overall.
The ladies will next travel to Daytona Beach, FL to participate in the Bash at the Beach Invitational beginning on Saturday April 9 at the LPGA International.
TU Women's Golf 7th at Eagle Invitational

TU Women's Golf finished 7th at the 2011 Eagle invitational played yesterday and today at the Pelican Bay Country Club in Daytona Beach, FL.
The ladies shot a 723 (361/362) en route to their seventh place finish. TU did not have a top 10 finisher, sophomore Jessica Macphee led the Lady Night Hawks with a 169 (87/82) over the two rounds and finished 18th overall. No other Lady Night Hawk finished in the top 30. The invitational was won by NCAA D1 Boston College who shot a 623 (310/313) in the two rounds of play.
Women's golf will be back in action on Monday March 28 when they open play at the SCAD Spring Invitational in Wilmington Island, GA.
Lady Night Hawks 5th at Start 2 Finish Invitational

The Lady Night Hawks golf team finished play this afternoon and placed 5th out of 9 teams at the Start 2 Finish Invitational hosted by Webber International University at the Lake Wales Country Club over the last two days.
TU shot a 717 (367/350, +141) over the two rounds. Sophomore Jessica McPhee led the Lady Night Hawks with a 154 (75/79, +2) and finished 8 strokes from the tournaments top spot, earning her medal honors with a second place finish. Freshman Jessica Thunberg was the only other to finish among the top 30 in the field, shooting a 180 (96/84, +36). Thunberg finished tied for 26th overall.
Women's golf will return to the greens on Saturday March 19th, when they travel to Daytona Beach, FL to participate in the Eagle Invitational.
Women's Golf #24 in NAIA Preseason Poll

Women's golf will open the 2011 season ranked #24 in the NAIA Coaches Preseason Poll, having collected a total of 118 points.
TU was voted as the #4 team in the Association of Independent Institutions Preseason Poll and will be looking to climb their way in both polls throughout the spring.
Thomas will open their spring season in February of 2011.
Macphee Leads TU to Runner Up Finish in Mobile

Sophomore Jessica Macphee finished second in a field of 24, leading TU to a runner up finish at the University of Mobile Fall Classic, played the last two days at the Heron Lakes Country Club in Mobile, AL.
Macphee shot a 161 (77 & 84) overall and finished a stroke off the overall lead. In round one, her 77 led the field with the second place finisher sitting three strokes behind. As a team the Lady Night Hawks shot a 675 (336 & 339), finishing 9 strokes behind the team champion University of Mobile. Three other lady golfers also finished in the top 10. Freshman Jessica Thunberg (168 - 85/83) tied for fifth, freshman Jaycee Eunice (171 - 87/84) finished eighth, and freshman Ashley Barfield (176 - 87/89) tied for tenth overall.
The Lady Night Hawks will open their spring season in February of 2011.
Lady Night Hawks Defeat Webber in TU Fall Classic

The Lady Night Hawks defeated Webber International University in a head to head match up at the TU Fall Classic played at the Glen Arven Country Club in Thomasville, GA.
TU shot a 656 (337/319) over the two rounds of golf. Sophomore Jessica Macphee led the Lady Night Hawks with a 146 (76/70) overall. She shot -2 in round two, a season low for TU. Freshman Jaycee Eunice had a strong second round after a tough day one and finished with a 163 (85/78).
Next up for TU is the University of Mobile Fall Classic, being played October 24-25 at the Azalea City Golf Club in Mobile, AL.
TU Women's Golf Opens Season with 6th Place Finish

TU Women's Golf opened their 2010-11 season with a 6th place finish, out of 18 teams, in the 2010 Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational played at the Stone Bridge Golf Club in Rome, GA the last two days.
The Lady Night Hawks shot a 665 (328/337) as a team in the two rounds of play, finishing 38 strokes off the lead. TU was led by freshman Jaycee Eunice who shot a 158 (77/81) and received All Tournament Honors in her first collegiate action. Eunice finished fifth overall in the field of 98. Junior Amanda Morse finished tied for tenth overall with a 160 (81/79) and sophomore Jessica Macphee shot a 162 (81/81) finishing tied for 17th.
Thomas will next be in action on October 9th when they open up play in the TU Fall Invitational being played at the Glen Arven Country Club in Thomasville, GA.
