Being a leader in online and distance education, Thomas University
supports high quality learning strategies and technologies that
contribute to student academic success. The Academic Technology
office offers training workshops in the use of academic technologies such as
blackboard, elluminate, and other audio/video tools to promote high quality
interactive learning.
- Students are invited to attend workshops to help orient them to academic technology and to view a list of upcoming workshops please go to a Spring 2010 semester Academic technology calendar of workshops.
- Faculty are invited to workshops and are encouraged to view a Spring 2010 semester Academic Technology calendar of workshop to learn more about training opportunities.
- Additional one-on-one and group trainings are available upon request to assist faculty and students in using elluminate, blackboard, microphone headsets, webcams, flip videos, digital video editing programs, softchalk or digital voice recorders. For assistance, please email Academic Technology Specialist Mary Prentice.
- A limited number of devices such as digital voice
recorders and microphone headsets are available at TU’s library for check out
by faculty, students, and staff.
