Four Program Options
Registered Nurses with a Bachelor’s degree
- A student holding a BSN or related bachelor’s degree from any
regionally accredited university who seeks the dual degree is required to
complete all of the program hours (credits) listed. A total of 54 hours
is required to earn the MSN-MBA dual degree. Up to 9 graduate credit hours may
be transferred from another regionally accredited university.
Registered Nurses with a prior MSN or MBA degree from Thomas University
- A student holding an MSN with a Nursing Education concentration from TU will
be required to complete the 24 credits of MBA courses listed plus NSG 644, for a
total of 27 credits beyond the MSN to earn a separate MSNMBA dual degree.
- A student holding an MSN with a Nursing Administration concentration from TU
will be required to complete the 24 credits of MBA courses listed, for a total
of 24 credits beyond the MSN to earn a separate MSN-MBA dual degree. If the
student completed any of the MBA courses as electives in the MSN program, he/she
must complete six credits of alternate MBA coursework.
- A student holding an MBA from TU must complete the following courses:
NSG602, NSG606, NSG612, NSG614, NSG644, NSG646, and two graduate nursing
electives, for a total of 24 credits beyond the MBA to earn a separate MSN-MBA
dual degree. The student is not required to complete NSG604, NSG608, NSG610, or
NSG616.
