2012-2013 PUBLISHED OUTCOME DATA:

Thomas University is pleased to provide the following published data on our measured outcomes:

1. Demonstrate professional conduct and interpersonal communication skills with patients, laboratory professionals, and other healthcare professionals and the public.

a). 14 graduates completed the form with scores of 85% or better. The most common demerit
was related  to interpersonal communication and we will incorporate that into all
discussion board forums and a work ethics evaluation for campus based students for
                     2013/2014

2. Provide quality medical laboratory science procedures in an atmosphere that fosters interest in and enthusiasm for the profession

a). Mastery is unable to be determined. Due to revised clinical processes and procedures for
the MLS  internship cohort, more information should be obtained in the 2013/2014 calendar
                    year.

3. Relate laboratory findings to common disease processes through case presentation.

a). 80% of the graduates achieved this score. The student that did not succeed was unable to
complete the entire project due to additional course requirements.

4. Attain MT/MLS certification by a national certification agency (ASCP or AMT)

a). 100% of graduates who attempted the test (6) passed the AMT/ASCP exams
(2-AMT and 4 ASCP). 2 graduates have not attempted the exam as of August, 2013.

b). As of December 2013, Thomas University boasts a 92.8% first time pass rate on the
                      ASCP exam.
