TU Endowed Scholarships

Thomas University offers numerous opportunities in a variety of academic degree programs as well as athletics and general scholarships. Award amounts and the actual number of awards may vary each year depending on the scholarship and the funding available.

Bass-McKenzie Nursing	Scholarships for BSN program
Bryan Baseball Scholarship	Baseball player at TU
Cecil C. McDonald Family Teacher Education Scholarship	Natural born U.S. citizen; resident of Grady County; have financial need; desire to enter teaching profession; agree to complete the teacher education program at TU; agree to teach at least 2 years in GA (prefer Grady County); have good moral conduct and citizenship; participation in extracurricular activities in high school or at TU preferred; involvement in community activities preferred
Community Endowment	Must be a senior with a 3.5 GPA; resident of Thomas or surrounding region; three (3) letters of recommendation from faculty and community members
Dr. Jeana French Endowment Scholarship	Junior or senior education major; resident of Thomas, Grady, or Mitchell counties in Georgia or Leon or Madison counties in Florida; 3.5 or higher GPA

Firman Endowment	Education major
Goizueta Endowment	Education major. Priority is given to Hispanic students.

Joy Daugherty Nursing Endowment	Must submit a brief essay (not to exceed one page) describing career goals and evidence of compassion, sensitivity and commitment to the ideals of the nursing profession; must demonstrate financial need; must be enrolled in 9 semester credits or more with a major in Nursing (BSN); must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher; must be a student in good standing with no Honor Code violations
Knight Memorial Scholarship	General
Marianne and Frank Williams Scholarship	General
Mason Morrow / Kiwanis	First preference is given to a Kiwanis member or his/her spouse or children, second to a resident of Thomasville, and third to a resident of Thomas County.
Meigs Garden Club	General
Nursing Scholarship	General nursing
Ochlocknee Civic Club	Scholarships for residents of Ochlocknee, GA. In the event no student from Ochlocknee qualifies, the recipient must be from Thomas County.
Roland Clanton Memorial Scholarship	U.S. Citizen who is a Georgia resident; Business major; 3.0 or higher GPA
Rumble Memorial Scholarship	Business major
TECT International Business Endowment	Thomas County resident
The Community Endowment	Senior in college; 3.5 or higher GPA ; Resident of Thomas County or surrounding region; three letters of recommendation from faculty & community members
W.A. Morris Memorial Scholarship	Participant of Student Support Services; must also declare a 4-year degree at TU
