Early Childhood Education
The Early Childhood Education program at Thomas University is committed to providing a teacher candidate with a strong foundation in the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to: plan for standards based instruction, utilize technology effectively, maintain positive classroom management, develop valuable assessments, and provide a variety of teaching strategies to fully engage diverse learners.
The Early Childhood program at Thomas University provides opportunities for the teacher candidate to attend small classes, which allows students to build close working relationships with faculty and peers. A carefully planned sequence of methods courses has clinical experiences embedded to provide early and frequent opportunities to practice in local schools under the supervision of a mentor teacher and university supervisor.
We invite you to join us and become an educator prepared to teach in the schools of tomorrow!
