The Post Baccalaureate Program has been carefully designed to give our teacher candidates a firm foundation in the middle school concept or Secondary Education Program, so that they will be well prepared as a beginning teacher. Teacher candidates for the Post Baccalaureate Middle Grades Education Program must complete two 15 hour content specializations from the following four areas: Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. Teacher candidates in the Secondary Education Program will complete 30 hours in one content specialization, English or Mathematics. A faculty advisor will assist teacher candidates in selecting appropriate courses that meet graduation and certification requirements.
The progression sheet lists required courses and electives.
This allows the teacher candidate and advisor to track the candidate’s progress through the Post Baccalaureate Certificate Program.
To begin your plan you can click on the appropriate progression sheet.
Contact the Post Baccalaureate Program Coordinator for more information about the Middle Grades or Secondary Post Baccalaureate Education progression.
