Biomedical Laboratory Science Option
A degree in Biomedical Science includes a course of scientific study related to biology as it affects healthcare. This online program is designed for the medical laboratory technician who has previously earned an associate degree from a NAACLS accredited MLT/CLT program and holds current MLT or MT certification. It also provides a way for an MLT/CLT that does not work in a laboratory to complete a B.S. degree.
**This degree path does not culminate in the student’s ability to sit for the ASCP national certification exam via route 1. Graduates of the BLS are able to sit for other MT level certification exams through other qualifications.
- Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or admission to the traditional MLS program and approval of the MLS Program Director.
Students must be admitted to Thomas University AND the Medical Laboratory Science Program.
For admission to the University, provide the following to the Office of Admissions:
- Application for Undergraduate Admission
- A $35 non-refundable application fee
- Provide official academic and financial aid transcripts from ALL colleges and/or universities previously attended. These transcripts should be sent to: Admissions Office, Thomas University, 1501 Millpond Rd, Thomasville, GA, 31792. The Registrar and MLS Program Director will determine transferability of the courses.
