Military Spouses and DoD Employees



Thomas University understands the need for flexible education programs for our military families.  We offer several degree programs that are aligned with some of the most popular career fields for military dependents, including Early Childhood, Elementary and Secondary Education.  Our Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Rehabilitation Studies, Social Work and Master's degree in Counseling qualify you for employment in some of the most highly sought after and portable career fields .

Paying for College

Thomas University is an approved participant in the MYCAA program.  We offer Certificates, Associates degrees and Licensures that meet the requirements and guidelines detailed by the Spouses Education and Career Opportunities program. Thomas University is proud to extend the military discount tuition rate to all Department of Defense civilian employees.  Many of our degree programs can be completed online, allowing you the opportunity to complete your degree while continuing to support our nation’s warfighter.  

Helpful Resources and Additional Funding


 Accelerate your degree: CREDIT BY EXAMINATION

To reduce the length of time and cost to complete a program of study, students may receive up to 30 combined hours of credit for approved courses towards a Bachelor’s degree or 15 hours towards an Associate of Arts degree through any of the following: CSC 120 Computer Applications Examination, institutional-departmental examinations, the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) subject examinations, the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DSST/DANTES), or the Advanced Placement (AP) program. No grades are recorded for credit by examination.
