Nov. 4, 2019

Easterseals client Willow Clark puts the finishing touches on a sculpture that is part of the art exhibit at Thomas University. The closing reception for the exhibit, which will include a silent auction for the featured artwork, will be held Thursday, Nov. 7, in the TU Art Gallery, located inside the Student Life Center on TU’s Magnolia Campus.

TU to hold closing reception for Easterseals art exhibit

During the 2018-19 academic year, Richard Curtis, Thomas University Associate Professor of Art, and his students worked with Easterseals clients who visited the TU Art Lab weekly to learn about drawing, painting and sculpting. During the summer of 2019, Curtis continued the weekly sessions with the Easterseals clients. For the past couple of months, their artwork has been on display in the TU Art Gallery, located inside the Student Life Building on TU’s Magnolia Campus.

At 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, the exhibit will end with a closing reception that will include a silent auction to purchase the artwork. Proceeds from the silent auction will benefit Easterseals. The reception will be held inside the TU Art Gallery.

This event is part of Arts for the Community at Thomas University (ACTU). For more information, call 229-227-6964 or email actu@thomasu.edu.
