TU named to Top 10 list for Military Friendly® Schools

With a continuing commitment of working with veterans and current military students, Thomas University has once again been named to the Top 10 list for Military Friendly® Schools for 2019-20.

TU ranked number 8 in the Top 10 category of private schools not offering doctorate degrees. (Thomas University does offer master’s and education specialist degrees.) According to the Military Friendly® website, 111 schools from across the U.S. are included in the category, but TU was the only school in Georgia in the category. The Top 10 schools were selected from those 111.

Being named to a Top 10 Military Friendly® list emphasizes just how military friendly a college or university is. Awardees are ranked based on a numerical score. This makes the second year TU has been named to a Top 10 list. Awardees are ranked based on a numerical score.

The Military Friendly® School designation by is determined by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs®, STEM JobsSM, and Military Spouse. First published in 2009, Military Friendly® Schools is the most comprehensive, powerful resource for veterans today. Each year, the list of Military Friendly® Schools is provided to service members and their families, helping them select the best college, university, or trade school to receive the education and training needed to pursue a civilian career.

They served or are serving our country. It’s only right that we return the favor and help them obtain the best education possible.”

Thomas University allows military and veteran students the opportunity to receive credit from their military occupational series training, and offers a tuition discount to all active duty, National Guard, Reserve, DOD civilians and their spouses.

In addition to being published online at militaryfriendly.com, the list is also published in G.I. Jobs magazine and the Guide to Military Friendly® Schools.
