Thomas University celebrates employee giving campaign success

Thomas University’s faculty and staff gathered in the Campus Center Classroom on the Forbes Campus Tuesday afternoon to celebrate the success of TU’s first employee giving campaign held in February and March. This year’s campaign increased the percentage of employees giving back to the university to 82 percent, according Adrianna Small, TU’s Annual Fund Coordinator.

“We are so grateful for our faculty and staff at Thomas University,” Small said. “The leadership they have shown does not go unnoticed, and we can’t wait to see how their hard work changes the lives of the students at TU.”

Leading the campaign were champions from each department or academic division who encouraged employee giving within their areas.

Ten departments/academic divisions were honored for having 100 percent of employees participating in the campaign. Those divisions included Business, Criminal Justice, Humanities, Counseling and Psychology and Social Work. The administrative departments included Academic Affairs, Finance and Administration, Pre-College Programs, Institutional Advancement and the President’s Office.

The Division of Counseling and Psychology received the Most Improved Division/Department Award for the highest percentage increase in giving. Penny Gaskins was named the MVP champion for her efforts leading Academic Affairs employees’ giving.
