TU to celebrate Earth Day with on-campus fair

Thomas University’s Sustainability Committee will host an Earth Day Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, on TU’s Forbes Campus. The fair will feature sustainably minded businesses, non-profit organizations and individuals to help educate the community about environmentally mindful products, business practices and personal habits.

Guests from the community are welcome to attend. There is no charge for admission.

“It’s time for the community as a whole to focus on learning and excelling in sustainable practices,” said Elizabeth DeZouche, an event organizer. “Thomas University is hoping to create an open forum for the community to learn more about sustainability so that they can in turn make better life choices for our environment and for future generations.”

Participating businesses and non-profit organizations include Grassroots Coffee, Grady Ranch Grassfed Angus, Truly Scrumptious, Full Moon Apiary, Manoba Vegan Food, Keep Thomas County Beautiful, Joyride, Fuzzy Goat, Best Apiaries, Brandon Ray the Butterfly Guy, Ochlocknee River Water Trail, The Mix Frozen Yogurt and Miss Kitty Feline Sanctuary.
