Thomasville Singers

Thomasville Singers to present spring concert

Arts for the Community at Thomas University (ACTU) will present the Thomasville Singers with vocal soloists and strings as part of the Sundays at Four series on Sunday, April 9, at 4 p.m. in the sanctuary of Trinity Anglican Church at 325 West Jackson Street in Thomasville.

“All of the singers are excited to share this challenging program,” stated series coordinator Dr. Karl Barton. “The organ and open sanctuary at Trinity will really bring the music to life.”

The program will be conducted by Nicole Davis and include Haydn's “Little Organ Mass” and Benjamin Britten's Festival Cantata “Rejoice in the Lamb.” The featured soloists will be soprano Anna Marie Friars, alto Jenna Rodriguez, tenor Gabriel Hernandez, and bass André Peele.

“The soloists who will be joining us will add a lot to the program,” Barton continued. “The string players will be contributing to the program with a chamber work by Haydn that will help to round out the program. I encourage everyone to come out and support the Thomasville Singer on Palm Sunday.”

The concert is free and open to the public. A reception will follow the performance. For additional information call 229-227-6964 or email actu@thomasu.edu.
