Arrive Alive Tour® to visit Thomas University March 1

UNITE’s Arrive Alive Tour® will be at Thomas University 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, to share with students and guests about the dangers of texting while driving and intoxicated driving. The Arrive Alive high-tech simulator will be on TU’s Forbes Campus in front of the library.

In the simulator, drivers can experience the dangers of texting while driving or driving while intoxicated. TVs outside the simulator provide a view of what the driver is experiencing.

According to Arrive Alive, cell phone use is one of the most commonly recognized driving distractions. Drivers younger than 20 have the highest proportion of distraction-related fatal crashes, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Arrive Alive brings health and wellness programs to high schools, colleges and communities across the U.S.  Its programs are designed to heighten awareness to the dangers and consequences of impaired and distracted driving.
