TU Social Work students present anti-bullying project

Each year the graduating Social Work majors at Thomas University are required to complete a community change project. This year the students chose to tackle the subject of bullying in public schools. TU students teamed up with the 21st Century Afterschool Program at Thomas County Central Middle School to present the program on April 26. Topics covered verbal bullying, social bullying and cyber bullying. During the presentation, students received the booklet “On Preventing Bullying,” which served as their guide during the program and as their personal prevention plan. TU students presenting are (from left) Beryl Blake, Wanda Lovejoy, Talisha Patterson and Felton Ivey. Not pictured is Alyssa Blakely.
