Building a ‘STEMpire’
Dr. Jimmie L. Davis, Jr., president of STEMflorida, Inc., talks with participants in Thomas University’s Science Café on Tuesday evening, March 29. Davis, along with Michael Singletary, STEM teacher at Southside Elementary School in Cairo, talked about the importance of including science, technology, engineering and math in the education curriculum for students at all levels. Singletary also shared some of her classroom experiences. Davis, who is also an engineer, shared ways that students can be inspired to study STEM areas both in and outside the classroom.
