TU Education honor society inducts new members

Thomas University Education majors were honored during a celebration presented by the members of the Phi Kappa Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education held Thursday, March 24, in the Campus Center on TU’s Main Campus. To be a member of Kappa Delta Pi, students must be majoring in Education, classified as a second semester sophomore, junior or senior and rank in the top 20 percent of their class or have a 3.5 or higher GPA. Three students were inducted into the honor society. One Kappa Delta Pi member graduating May 7, Jennifer Lester, received an honor cord to wear with her academic regalia during Commencement. Participating in the ceremony were (from left) Kathleen Bass of Cairo, inductee; Samantha Leverette of Pelham, inductee; Jennifer Lester of Thomasville, graduating member; Heather Vickers of Iron City, inductee; and Savannah Richardson of Moultrie, inductee. Dr. Jennifer Phillips serves as the adviser for the chapter.
