Thomasville Young Artists to Perform for Sundays at 4

Some of Thomasville’s finest young musicians will be featured at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 6, as part of Arts for the Community at Thomas University’s (ACTU) Sundays at 4 concert series.  In the competition’s inaugural year, ACTU is partnering with the Thomasville Center for the Arts and the Thomasville Entertainment Foundation to provide this opportunity for singers, pianists and instrumentalists who live in or attend a high school in Thomas County.

“The program will feature a wide range of musical styles,” said series coordinator and TU Humanities Division Chair Dr. Karl Barton. “This is a celebration of the talent in this community.”

Students have the opportunity to compete for performing arts scholarships up to $1,000 to be used to further their education in the performing arts.  Award winners will be announced at the end of the concert.

ACTU Partners in the Arts with Thomas University are eligible to receive one free ticket for individual members and two tickets for family members.  Admission is free for students.  Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door or can be purchased at http://tinyurl.com/2016HSPACtix.
